Announcing the 2008 giveaway finalists: time to cast your vote

The time has come. We received many nominations for our inaugral website giveaway contest and our independent selection panel has narrowed them down to four finalists. Now it's your turn. Cast your vote to help us select the winner. Voting is open now and will remain open through October 17th, 2008.

Get to know our finalists

The most exciting thing about this giveaway has been getting to find out about some fantastic non-profit organizations that are doing some amazing work. You have the chance to check them out as well. Visit our 2008 Finalists page to see the list. Click on any organization and you'll get a great overview of what they are about. We'll also be posting this detailed information on each finalist to our blog tomorrow.

Cast your vote

We know it's a really tough choice. That's why we need your help. Visit our 2008 Finalists page and you'll find a voting form at the bottom. Just fill that out and tell us which organization you think should receive this fall's website giveaway donation. Voting is open through October 17th so cast your vote and tell your friends to vote as well.

Thanks to our finalist selection panel

I want to take a minute to say thank you to a few members of our finalist selection panel. Not all of our members wanted to be recognized publicly, but below are the selection panel members who gave us permission to mention their names here. You'll find a link to their organizations as well. We're very appreciative to these selection panel members who each took the time to review a large list of nominees and rate each one so that we could have a fair process of selecting finalists.

A Camp Cavett web site will offer hope to anyone with a life threatening disease. The web site will inspire critically ill children to see that despite the seriousness of their illness, they can still laugh, participate and accomplish wonderful things. The word would be out that Camp Cavett is the place for support, fellowship and lots and lots of FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!

Camp Cavett has made a difference in so many kids lives. Many kids including my daughter were not able to attend a camp without a skilled medical staff available. Most of these children are taking several medications and have physical restrictions that will not allow them to attend a normal camp. Camp Cavett gives them a chance to be JUST LIKE OTHER KIDS for a change. These kids face very difficult circumstances every day of their young lives. They are remarkable kids with an appreciation for life that is unbelievable. They deserve to be happy and carefree like other kids and Camp Cavett allows them to do this for at least one week out of their year. Thank you Camp Cavett!!!

Do you know...hundred's of kids look forward to Camp Cavett every year. To become a believer, just make a trip to Camp Cavett and see the excitement, fun and the happiness it brings to all kids. I think the adult volunteers look forward to this trip as much as the kids.
