How to create a web design if you only know a little bit about HTML and CSS

I talk to a lot of people who tell me that they "know enough about HTML and CSS to be dangerous." Honestly, I consider myself a bit in this camp. You know the feeling ... you look at the code and you can make sense out of it. You can even write a bit of it and tweak around with it, but if it got right down to building a website from scratch, it would take you forever and might not turn out exactly right.

So, how can us HTML/CSS wannabes get our designs up and running on the web?

That's one of the beautiful things about our CMS products. We throw in some sample designs at no extra cost. And, we even let you download the full source code to these designs any time you want. Just go to "My Website --> Designs," pick a design and click "download."

With a nice, clean starting point, you can tweak away -- add a logo, change imagery, change the layout, or whatever. Scroll through all of that beautiful HTML and CSS and make whatever changes you want. Then, just zip it back up and upload it back to our system.

Of course, to save even more time, you can just have us integrate your design for you through HTML Xpress, but if you like the challenge and want to save a little money, tweaking an existing template is a great way to go.

John, sorry about the confusion. I should have said "When you are logged into your website, just go to "My Website --> Designs". These designs are accessible from within our CMS software. If you don't already have an account, you can create on for free at www.embracewater.com.
