Today, I did a little comparison shopping. I took a look at some other XHTML/CSS cutup services and compared them to our own service, HTML Xpress. Here's what I found -- HTML Xpress is far less expensive than these other services. I was actually quite surprised at just how much less expensive it is.
What's included?
HTML Xpress actually delivers three pages/templates, but since one of them is an "admin" template, I decided not to count it, just to make sure we were giving the other companies the benefit of the doubt. So, I compared cost based on cutting up two pages. I also left all of the "advanced" settings offered by the other shops set to the least expensive options. Again, I did this to give them as much advantage as possible, even though HTML Xpress includes some of these advanced settings at no additional cost.
Finally, since HTML Xpress includes complete integration with our CMS software, I selected a CMS integration option on the other services. I selected the least expensive CMS integration option offered by these other companies.
The results
Here's a look at the price comparison based on the criteria above. Delivery time for all of these services was set at five days, with the exception of PSD2HTML which only has one delivery time option of one business day per page, so theirs is actually delivered in two days.
| PSD2HTML |
$675 |
| w3-markup |
$696 |
| XHTMLized |
$1,119 |
HTML Xpress
|
$495 (on sale for $395)
|
As you can see, HTML Xpress's full price is well below all of these comparable services, even when every possible advantage is given to them in their pricing models. The current sale price of $395 makes HTML Xpress an even greater bargain at almost half the cost of these other services.
What does it mean?
When you use HTML Xpress to get your designs onto our CMS products, you are getting a great value. All you have to do is look around at the going rates for these types of services to see it. Not only that, but there is great advantage to having your cutup done by the very same people who built the CMS you are using. Since we know our system inside and out, you are getting markup that is optimized for the system on which it's running.
If you're already using HTML Xpress, you should feel great about the value you are getting. If you are a designer considering a CMS, please consider the advantage of a service like HTML Xpress, available exclusively to those who use LightCMS to build content-managed websites for their clients.
