It’s a new year and with a new year comes reflections on last year and new goals that can be set for your site. Your goal might be to add new content to your site or take off those staff members that have not worked at your business for over 6 months. It could even include adding a blog to your site to get more traffic. Many times adding content to your site is done out of necessity instead of in an effort to improve the site. Now is a good opportunity to look over your site see if you need to freshen it up a little, create a blog on your site or add more keywords to your text that will help with your search engine results.
One thing we always like to suggest is blogging. Blogging keeps your information fresh and new and will help your site with search results. Several months ago ProBlogger ran a 31 day blog series titled 31 Days to Building a Better Blog. It had some fresh ideas for people who are already blogging and other good ideas for people wanting to start. I would suggest reading it and other articles there. Even if you did a few of the items it would help freshen up your site content or a blog that needed to be jump-started back to life.
Even if you are not looking to blog on your site, consider this a good ol’ fashion friendly reminder to look at the content on your site and see if needs to just be freshened up, or receive an extreme makeover.
Please share with us, in the comments, any freshening you did to your site to help motivate others.
