How did you embed the shopify into Water? I have been wanting to do something like this for a time.

Jim. Good question. If you watch the address bar closely as you navigate through the site, you'll see that the shopping pages actually reside on shopify while the website content pages reside on WaterCMS. By skinning the systems to look the same and using the navigation menu to move seamlessly between systems, you can create an experience that is seamless even when using two separate systems.

Let us know if you have any more questions.

@Jim We actually hotlinked the stylesheets from WaterCMS from within the shopify template files on their remote hot. This allows you to make changes on the main website's stylesheet and have them effect the shopify site as well. (We don't support hotlinking, but in this case I don't think it is hurting anyone ).

Friends - i really like EF and recommend it to folks, but this post saddened me. i went to funkymonkey to check out to see if we might start using your services for taking payments, etc. and got this message when i clicked on the paypal button on the shopping cart page: "There is a problem with the shop's paypal configuration; you don not have permission to make this API call". Also, there's only one picture in the home page's main picture gallery (or whatever you call it) and it rotates out and leaves a blank space there. Anyway, i like EF and wanted to suggest you work on those things. Peace, bill

@Bill, thank you for the note. As we've been discussing here in the comments, the ecommerce functionality used on this site is actually through a separate product called Shopify. It is one of several products we sometimes use for ecommerce, depending on the needs of our clients. Element Fusion did the integration with that product, but the ecommerce functionality itself runs through Shopify. Still, we are checking with Shopify to determine why that particular paypal button is currently erroring.

On the main picture gallery, it's likely that our clients at Funky Monkey are in the process of updating that gallery with additional images. As you may know, all of our sites run on Element Fusion's own content management system, which allows our clients to manage and edit their own content. Therefore, even after we "launch" sites, the client can continue to change the content as they wish.

I hope this helps to speak to your concerns. You can rest assured that we are committed to the highest level of service for our clients and we will always be here to help resolve any issues that arise even after the launch.
