Network Neutrality is something near to my heart. I am sure it is to yours as well, or at least it should be. Most people (even savvy internet users) aren't aware of what Network Neutrality is and that's what makes it so dangerous. I will admit I was turned onto the idea when I attended the Search Engine Strategies conference in December of '07. You can Read more about this topic here.
Network Neutrality is what makes the Internet free for all users and companies, it is essentially what makes the Internet a great resource. That freedom of information is in jeopardy because AT&T wants a larger piece of the pie. Imagine getting a bill every month from AT&T for how much bandwidth you use or a separate bill from you normal website hosting.
My main reason for posting this is because on January 8, 2008 New York Times wrote an article about AT&T wanting to start Network-level filtering. This would be a major step in the wrong direction for the Internet.
I encourage everyone to join in making sure the Internet stays free and unmonitored Net Freedom Now
