Last night, we deployed a new update to Light. By the way, our scheduled downtime lasted a total of two minutes (thank you very much, Ryan!).
Anyway, the new update is what we like to call "branded website support". It's actually available on Water, Sky and Light, but it is primarily for Light as it is another way we are supporting our growing Light reseller network. Here's how it works.
Every website now has its own, branded website-level support site. You can access this support site at the following address:
http://support.[yourwebsiteID].publishpath.com
or, for example:
http://support.ef.publishpath.com
would be the address of the support site for our own Element Fusion website.
Here are a couple of great things about the way the new website support works:
- First, it pulls in the logo associated with your account. So, if you are private labeling the system with your own logo, that same logo shows up on the support site for all of your client websites.
- Second, this support site contains only "website-level" information. "Account level" information has been removed so your clients will not see all of the things that happen behind the scenes.
We've moved all account level support information (including how to use your own designs) to our new account support website at:
http://accountsupport.elementfusion.com
Prior to this update, we simply hid the support site from your clients to avoid them seeing the account support information. Now, we have provided a "help" button on the toolbar that is visible to your clients and will take them to your own support site. However, we have still given you the ability to disable access to the support site for your clients if you so choose. Just go to "My Account --> Preferences" inside your Light account for more information on this.
