Call it a refresh. Call it a rebuild. Call it what you like, but the bottom line is that Icebrrg, our online form-builder product which is also integrated into our Water, Sky and LightCMS systems, has been rebuilt from the ground up with new code, a new look, and new features. It is scheduled to launch next Wednesday, May 28th, at which point all Icebrrg accounts and Water, Sky and LightCMS websites will be seamlessly upgraded to the new product.

We'll be posting more about this next week, possibly with some preview screen shots on Tuesday, but for now, I want to give you the run down on all that will be improved / enhanced on the new form builder product.

1. Complete code rework. The biggest improvement is simply that the code has been reworked from the ground up. This has greatly improved the usability, reliability, and speed of the system as a whole. It also sets us up to more easily integrate additional new features in the future.
2. Improved user interface. The design and UI of the system has been overhauled. The improvements are stunning. We know that you will love the new look and feel of your forms and the UI improvements which make editing even easier.
3. It just works better. We know the previous version had some glitches that could be frustrating at times. One of our main goals in this rework was to eradicate those issues once and for all. You'll be pleased with the rock-solid reliability of the new system.
4. It just works faster. There are faster load times, save times and everything in between.
5. Browse, edit and delete your form entries. Previously, there was no way to edit or delete entries on your forms once they were submitted. That is about to change. The new version allows you to easily browse, edit and delete form entries (note: this feature is only available on Icebrrg forms and Water, Sky, LightCMS forms connected to an Icebrrg account. Stand alone Water, Sky and LightCMS forms will not have this feature available immediately, though it may be added in a later release).
6. Send form submissions to multiple email addresses. The previous version limited email submissions to a single address. Now you can add as many email addresses as you want, separated by semi-colons, and they will each receive a copy of every submission made to the form.
7. Field format options. Several fields now offer formatting options. For example, the "full name" field used to have title, first name, last name and suffix, but now you can choose between that version and a basic version with just first and last name. Similar options are available on other fields as well.
8. Create line breaks when typing in paragraph fields. This one is near and dear to our heart since we use our forms a lot for contacts and support questions. Previously, hitting "enter" when typing in a paragraph field would submit your form, resulting in a lot of accidental submissions as people intending to create a line break submitted the form instead. This has now been resolved allowing users to create line breaks when typing in the paragraph field.
9. Input labeling options: name, note and default value. You can now add a name above and a note below each individual input field for precise control over the text that appears on your form. You can also add default text into fields which will appear until the user adds their own text.
10. Better handling of the "required" property. For example, on fields like "address" if you make it required, it will not require the "address 2" line in that field block.
11. A better date picker is now included with date fields.
12. Improved validation and error reporting on all form functions.
13. Improved entry download. The "download entries" function has been improved to run faster as well as improve the CSV formatting, including numbering entries in the resulting CSV.

Scheduled downtime

As you can see, this is a major release and we are really excited about it. However, as with most new feature releases, we have to take the system down to implement it. In this case, the Icebrrg and form builder systems will be taken off line for approximately two hours in order to perform the upgrades and conversions to the new system. Here is more information on the scheduled downtime as it stands now (subject to change):

During this time, the entire Icebrrg and form builder system will be down and any forms on your Water, Sky and LightCMS websites will not be visible (your website will continue to function as normal aside from the lack of forms). We apologize for the inconvenience but look forward to delivering these new features.
