Element Fusion

I wanted to share a few things that I use on a daily basis that you might want to try out.  Some are programs and others are websites.  You might have heard of them or are currently using them.

• Texter- This is a PC only software that allows you to set up typing shorcuts that allows you to type a letter or word and press enter (or tab) and it will type out whatever you set it up to type.  For example I have several signatures on my email.  I can just type thx and it will type out my signature for me.  It is great if you have emails that you send all the time and you just need to fill out a little piece to customize it.  It even keeps track of how much more productive you become.  It saves me about 4 hours a month at 400 characters/minute.
•  Jott.com- You can call a phone number they give you, tell them who you want to "Jott" and it will send them an email to them based upon the message you left.  Of course, you have to set up all of the people in your contact list, but after you set it up it is great.  The main thing I like is sending a Jott to myself.  Kind of like a reminder of something to do when I get home or get to work.
• DNS Stuff- If I don't know an IP address a website is pointing to I just use the tools here.  They help find why a site is not coming up and/or why emails aren't coming through.
• Google Mail for Domains- Using Gmail with my domain name for free.  Enough said.

*Update: A Mac user here just told me about TextExpander for the Mac.  I was told it was just like Texter, just better.
