Businesses, organizations and churches love
Water, one of our content management systems. There are some other uses that get over looked. Here is a list of the top 5 uses, in no particular order, for
Water that you might not have thought of.
- Weddings- This can be used before and after the weddings. Before the wedding you can put up pictures of the couple, info where they are registered, directions to the church and use the form builder for RSVP’s. After the wedding is over the happy couple can then post pictures from their honeymoon as well as pictures from the wedding itself. It can also become their little family blog.
- Births- With so many people spread across the nation having all of the info and pictures of a new family member are important. Not only pictures, but info about the baby and also video’s can be put on the site using YouTube. The form builder can be set up to send emails to the family wishing them joy and happiness with their new baby. The donation tool can be used to send money quickly and securely for various gifts.
- Parties/ Gatherings- Need to give directions to an annual Christmas party? Need to take a head count for a golf tournament? Create a website that will last before and after the function. Post tournament scores for all the world to see, like them or not. Also, add pictures to the picture gallery to show all the fun you had.
- Family Blog- Why just send out Christmas cards catching family and friends up on all the happenings of your life. Why not let them know what is going on right now in your life. That will save you the time of writing or typing out the letter at the last minute. You can just send everyone to your webpage and skip the time worrying about what you are going to say to summarize a whole year.
- Learn HTML- While there is no substitute for reading a book or going to classes to learn about HTML, looking through your text on your site in the HTML view might help you see how things are put together. It’s okay that you don’t know a <p> tag from a <br> tag. Looking in the HTML view will help you see the difference and possibly get to know HTML a little bit better.
Do you have other ideas that weren’t listed here that you think should have made the top 5? Add a comment and we will gather them up and hopefully have a top 10 uses in a future blog post.
