Since we launched the Website Giveaway last week, we've had a good number of nominations roll in. It is so great to see recommendations of the organizations you respect. In many cases, we might not have had any exposure to the organization if it weren't for your nomination. I can promise you that every nomination will be thoughtfully considered as we continue on with our giveaway process.
Of course, there is still room for more. We want to hear from you. Will you nominate an Oklahoma-based non-profit for the giveaway?
Website Giveaway featured in The Journal Record
I want to thank the Journal Record and Kelley Chambers for their coverage of the giveaway in yesterday's paper. In case you missed it, here is a link to the online article (registration required). I appreciate all of the help we are getting from the media and from individuals as well in spreading the word to as many organizations as possible.
We're still looking for nominations
Nominations will remain open until September 26th. At that point, we'll be turning things over to our selection panel to help us choose a group of finalists, then we'll be contacting those finalists, securing their permission, and putting them out for a public vote. Please submit those nominations so that your organization can be considered.
Do I really have a chance to win?
Absolutely. Remember, we're looking for a great story. We're looking for passion. We're looking for an organization that has great ideas, but just might need some helping getting set up with the tools to take those ideas online. This isn't a random drawing, you have the chance to make the case as to how your organization will use a website to help our community.
Spread the word
