Here's a fun little article on mashable.com about product names with misspelled words in them. It's a pretty strong trend nowadays to name your product something that's just slightly misspelled. Of course, this is pretty close to home for us with Icebrrg and actually, Icebrrg is one of the products mentioned in the article!
I think a lot of people have a hard time understanding why this happens. Especially people who are very committed to proper spelling and grammar (which is a good thing). But to me, a pretty strong precision advocate, there's a really simple explanation for it.
All of the normal word URLs are taken.
You can just go out and register www.iceberg.com, but you can register www.icebrrg.com. Same thing with flickr.com, tumblr.com and all of the other names with missing vowels or other alterations featured on the site. So, I hope we don't offend too much, we're just trying to make something memorable and register a URL that's less than 30 characters.
