Why your fancy website sucks

Today, Church Marketing Sucks published an article I wrote entitled "Why your fancy website sucks."  Thanks to the guys over there at CMS for giving me a place to use the word "sucks" a lot.

Actually, I'm quite honored to be included on this site as I've been a long-time follower and fan of their work.  It is a great resource for anyone involved in church work.  After all, communication is pretty much a part of everyone's job.

Tim, Enjoyed your post on cms. By the way, are you familiar with woot.com? While it is not a Christian site, there are some great and creative ideas in their advertising approach which is not entirely unlike cms. Today's current woot is pretty entertaining and as a pastor who has had to learn the art of tact in response to whiners, woot with their "clear and creative" communication has been inspiring to say the least. Thanks for your blogs!

Tim, enjoyed your blog on CMS this morning. I also like to KISS...Keep It Simple, Stupid. (Sorry, I couldn't resist :) Ray is on to something at woot.com. I absolutely LOVE their writing style on the descriptions of their items. Their writers use just enough sarcasm and a whole heck of a lot of creativity to market their very reasonable items.
